GN-007 Arios Gundam 1/100 NG

Nope, not james bond's unit. Arios is my first 1/100 gundam so naturally i was very excited while building it. the build was surprisingly beginner friendly. Maybe is because i didn't realise some parts need to be painted black so i only touched that up after a few weeks later when i read the manual for transformation.

1.Introduction:
Model: Arios Gundam
Size: 1/100 NG
Boxart:
Nice clean design, with some fireworks at the back.
Sideshot:

A colorful sideshot showing off its transformation. i will not be showing pics of this transformation cos i am too lazy to do so. while, the transformation is exactly as this shows. will talk more about that later.

Manual:

I love it when the manual cover is not the same as the boxart.
Price:2600 yen.

2.Articulation:
Being my first 1/100 NG i have no idea what to expect. so i build it with only simple panel-lining and oh boy it looks marvelous already. Then as mentioned before i touched it up a few weeks later, painting the head jewel clear red, painting some parts black with gundam markers.
Oh bad focus again, anw just to show u the red jewel looks very nice with some clear red paint. the paint i use is tamiya X27, incase u are wondering.

The two shoulder blades are actually GN beam shields, and they come with nice holographic stickers.
Yeah, the feet comes with the same nice holographic stickers too, though the pic doesn't show it clearly.
I opened its side-skirts and reveal the Gn drive, which btw also comes with nice holographic stickers although i think it is a pity that they are covered up this time. so kudos to bandai for such nice little details.
The guns or whatever u call it hidden under the hand guard are unpainted-they are supposed to be in grey. i was too lazy to paint it as they probably won't be seen anw. would be better though if they comes painted.

3. Weapons and accessories.
2 curved beam sabers, 1 Gn beam rifle and 1 cute Allelujah Haptism figurine. Ok, that comes separate.
The cute Allelujah figurine comes with its own handy dandy bag with a harute silhouette printed on it. yeap it is a movie merchandise and makes me very eager for the 1/100 Harute gundam.

Pardon for the digressing, anw the blue clear part on the beam rifle is painted, so do take note.

4.Posing

A silly pose to demonstrate how much its legs could go. very nice mobility indeed. stable too.
Extremely stable on the ground. very unique proportions for a gundam, the torso is small and it has thunder thighs.
                                          "Ore wa gundam!"
did i mention that the holographic stickers are great?
                                           2 dual beam sabers pose.
Arios is made for aerial poses and action base 1 seems like it is made for arios.

 5. About the transformation, i will say is a sturdy transformation, much easier to pull off than the brave commander HG( see review). but the result is not as good as i have expected. not the model's fault but it is the inherent design that i do not really like. looks elongated and i guess i prefer the brave's plane mode to it.

5.Verdict:
Articulation: 6.5 / 10 some parts have to be painted urself, like the rifle's clear blue.
Poseability: 8 /10 very nice poses
Transformation: 6 / 10 easy to transform but MS form is 100 times cooler.
Sturdiness: 9/10 i wanted to give it a 10 but i guess i 9 is excellent already.
Conclusion: so good that i want GN archer 1/100 to go with it.
Oh, and before i forget, i must showcase its holographic stickers.
